Frequently Asked Questions

Montessori takes a comprehensive, holistic approach to your child’s development and education. The child is at the center of all our programs.

At our school, we balance social, physical, emotional, and academic development. Daycare centers and preschools may prioritize one area of development but rarely emphasize all areas.

Our teaching methods are also quite different. Montessori views teachers as a guide. Students’ lessons are personalized, and they can learn at their own pace. Daycares and preschools tend to be more instructor-led and often apply the same lessons to all students.

Ultimately, the Montessori approach focuses on helping your child grow in independence while also laying strong academic foundations for their future success.

The benefit of a Montessori education is that it’s well-rounded and robust. We teach the same basic skills that you would find in a traditional school – but we just tailor education to each child.

The subjects we cover are the same, such as math, history, science, language, and geography. The way the child learns these subjects is different. We use an integrated approach where the child drives their own learning. We are the guide; they are the teachers.

We have three programs for young children in the following age groups:

  • Toddler Program - 18 months to 2 ½ years of age
  • Transition Program - 2 ½ to 3 ½ years of age

Primary Program - 3 to 6 years of age

We offer half-day and full-day options across all three programs.

The hallmark of a Montessori education is helping the child develop their independence. Children who are self-sufficient have greater confidence and self-esteem.

In our classrooms, children are given the support to take care of their personal needs as well as their environment. They’re free to move around and choose what activities they want to focus on. The self-reliance children learn at our school benefits them in our classrooms and throughout their future learning.

As part of the enrollment process, you’ll set up a profile within the Procare app. This will be the app you use to communicate with teachers throughout the school year.

Once you complete the enrollment process and your child has a spot in one of our classrooms, we’ll send you an email with details to help prepare your child. These details include:

  • Expectations for the first day
  • Drop-off and pick-up protocols
  • The supply list for the upcoming school year
  • When and how to order their uniforms
  • Important dates and school calendars
  • …and more.

If you have any additional questions outside of what is covered in that communication, please contact us. You can either call our school directly at PHONE NUMBER or fill out our contact form here.

If you’d like to view the supply list ahead of time, you can find the most updated copy of it here

A prepared environment sets your child up for the best success. Part of that is making sure they have the necessary school supplies before their first day of school. These back-to-school essentials encourage your child’s independence and set their classroom up for a joyful and valuable experience.

When it comes to your child’s experience at Aubrey Montessori School, we won’t leave you guessing. We’ll email you the supply list for your child well in advance, or you can access it here. Yes, uniforms are an important part of our school and your child’s educational experience.

Once your child is enrolled and all the paperwork is completed, we’ll email you all the information you need. In that, we include links to where you can purchase their uniform.

Wonderful! Please visit our Admissions page for the steps to begin the enrollment process. We’re excited to hear from you and learn more about your child!

As long as we have space available in any of our three programs, we will enroll students throughout the year.

We do not currently offer financial assistance at this time.
